Young Artist Competition

Middle school and high school students from Wayne and surrounding counties compete for cash awards and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the RSO. All competitors receive feedback from professional judges. Celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2011-12, this program is a wonderful growth opportunity for the participants. The competition is open to the community, so our guests may experience young, local talent. Artists will perform with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra on May 6 at the Old-Fashioned Sousa Concert.
