A Classical Surprise!

Guy Bordo again explores the rich repertoire of the Classical-sized orchestra, as the RSO unites Classical-era composers with the beauty of a 20th century Master. Concertmaster Harvey Thurmer and RSO principal violinist Mary Harris combine as soloists in Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola. Contemporary Estonian composter Arvo Pärt offers two short works: "Summa" and "Silouan's Song." Then we'll all be jolted by the "Surprise" in Haydn's great Symphony No. 94, the Suprise Symphony.
