Exploring the Orchestra

Maestro Guy Bordo and the RSO continue their four-year project of "Exploring the Orchestra" by posing the question, "What can the orchestra do for you?" They answer by running the gamut of emotions, from the joy of Jupiter from Holst's The Planets, to the beauty of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony, to the transcendence of tragedy with Barber's haunting Adagio for Strings. Along the way, Guy will get you on your feet with a Saint-Saens march, and make you think with music by Philip Glass and Jennifer Higdon.
