Darin Sorley received degrees in music from Butler University and the Cleveland Institute of Music with additional studies at Indiana University.  His teachers include Philip Farkas, Michael Hatfield, Richard Solis and Jerry Montgomery.  Mr. Sorley performs as principal horn of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra (IN) and previously served as principal with the Evansville Philharmonic.  As a professional horn player, he has performed with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Lafayette and Anderson Symphonies.  Mr. Sorley also serves as Music Director of the Indianapolis Chamber Winds and Director of the Chamber Music Institute which is a summer camp for high school students.  Mr. Sorley is Instructor of Horn at the University of Indianapolis and previously taught at the Universities of Evansville and Southwest Missouri State.  As a custom horn maker, Mr. Sorley’s instruments are being played by orchestral musicians throughout the world.  Darin is married to pianist Rebecca Sorley and the couple has three children: 18-year old pianist, Allegra; 11 year old pianist, percussionist and stand-up comic, Alex, and Adam, 5, who plays cello and piano.
