Orchestra Within an Orchestra
The Richmond Symphony Orchestra offers high school student musicians a unique opportunity to participate in a program that can enhance both their technical and performance skills by playing alongside professional musicians in a season concert.
The Orchestra-Within-an-Orchestra educational program invites qualified students in grades 9-12 to audition before our conductor, Maestro Guy Victor Bordo. Successful candidates will perform with the RSO at the April 23, 2011 pops concert, "Encore: Movies II.”
Students that attend schools in Wayne, Randolph, Henry, Union, Fayette and Franklin counties in Indiana as well as Preble, Darke and Butler counties in Ohio are eligible to submit an entry to audition.
Students interested in auditioning for the Orchestra-Within-an-Orchestra should complete the entry form and return it to the RSO office by no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 25, 2011.
Auditions will be held at Civic Hall Performing Arts Center on Monday, March 7, 2011.
Students or teachers with questions about this opportunity should contact the RSO office via phone or e-mail:
